Presence

P

When I am in Your presence I don’t want to leave. My being, my vision, and my thoughts are so enamored and wanting to stay right here with You that I find myself not even wanting to breathe but to stay still, unmoving, held in place.

In Your presence LORD I find that to take the next breath I must let go of the breath which is already in me – and I don’t want to – as my desire is to keep EVERY breath that You’ve given and relish it.

In Your presence God – I am awestruck, humbled, and completely overwhelmed In worship and reverence of Your glory and love for me, for all, for everything.

My eyes don’t want to blink, as they are transfixed when I am taking in what You are giving me to see. I stop. I am immovable, holding on to You as a rock when You are speaking. I can’t move. I don’t want to move. To be in Your presence and not distracted by anything else is to have found holy ground, and holy ground is sacred. My feet are anchored In You.

God is my rock and foundation. My hands hold on to Him. (image of my hands on a rock)

In Your presence I am complete, whole, and held. There is no place I would rather be.

You are everywhere.  There is no place that You are not. You tell me that as I abide in You, You will abide in me.

This makes me weep with joy.

Nothing can take me out of Your love.

Even so, I must exhale and take another breath in the knowledge that every breath is a gift from You, of this I am assured.

All praises to You my LORD, maker of heaven and Earth, lover of my soul and giver of every heartbeat and breath.

He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters.  Psalm 23:2

In His Presence

Life is a trail.  There are places where the next corner can only be walked with the steadfast faith that God has this and will be there as well.  Press on to all He has in store.  He will give breath to His desires, so breathe deeply.
